My name is Carol, I am an Ofsted registered childminder in Bury, Ramsey. I live with my Husband and my two lovely boys aged 13 and 14 We are a loving family with a great sense of humour and live just a two-minute walk from Bury CE Primary School.
At Honey Bumpkin we offer the full package of childminding services and early years education of children, under the guidance of Ofsted’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), for families in and around the Bury and Ramsey area.
I offer places in Term Time and School Holidays for Children between the ages of 0 – 12 years. As well as offering half days and full days for pre-school children, we also provide a before school breakfast and drop off as well as a collection from school and healthy home-cooked meals if required.
Here at Honey Bumpkin I offer a loving home from home experience for children. I have an ever-increasing array of toys and books with plenty of room to play. Your child will have the opportunity to choose their own toys to play with and learn, children are given the ability to have fun and express themselves. As a childminder, I get more opportunity for 1:1 time with your child. I follow Ofsted’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines for educating your child through creative learning and play.
Our home both inside along with our garden has been visited and checked by Ofsted for suitability for a safe childminding environment for children. We have a securely enclosed garden to the rear of our home for outdoor play. There will also be pre-arranged or scheduled trips for children to explore the children’s environment around them. This will include toddler groups, interesting educational places and play parks.
Your child will have available healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day. If required, I offer a healthy home cooked meal for all day, afternoon or after school children. I believe in a good stable diet and offer a variety of food from different cultures. If you need an early start then I also offer a before school breakfast and school drop off service.
My childminding training has been completed, as well as ongoing training, with the nationally recognised childcare organisation PACEY. I have also completed my Paediatric First Aid training with Cambridge Medical Training Limited.
